Jeffery L. Dietlein ( May 10, 1947 - January 31, 2017 )

Jeffery L. Dietlein, 69, of Beaverton, passed away on January 31, 2017 at his home. He was born on May 10, 1947 in Bay City, MI to the late Walter and Helen (Samson) Dietlein.

Jeffery worked for GM Powertrain in Bay City, MI retiring in 2006. After his retirement, he worked for MidMichigan Health as a courier where he made a lot of new friends that he considered family.
Jeffery enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He adored his Corvette, and going to car shows. He enjoyed everything about the water, especially taking his family for cruises on his pontoon. He will be greatly missed by his granddaughters and entire family.

Jeffery is survived by wife Barbara Dietlein; his daughter Melodie and Michael Dodman son; Jeffery and Amber Dietlein; grandchildren; Madilynn, Myleigh, Isabelle, Charlotte. He is also survived by his brother, James and Janet Dietlein, and a niece; Vicky (Chris) Bales.

A Funeral Service will take place at Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00 am with the Pastor Samuel B. Reith of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Friday evening from 4-7pm, and at the funeral home on Saturday from 10am until time of service. A private burial will take place at the Tobacco Township Cemetery.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church or MidMichigan Homecare (Hospice).
