James T. Bradley ( August 9, 1930 - February 17, 2017 )

James "Jim" T. Bradley, 86, of Midland, passed away on February 17, 2017 at Bickford Cottage. He was born on August 9, 1930 to Joe and Esther (Durbin) Bradley.
Jim worked at Dow Chemical Company as a manager in Code Systems for 38 years retiring in 1992. Jim was a lifelong Midland resident and very active in his community. He was Special Deputy for Midland County Sheriff Department, a member of the Midland County Parks and Recreation Commission, helping with the planning of the Rail Trail, a Midland County Commissioner for many years and served as chairman of the commission for several terms. Jim was an avid golfer where he developed many friendships and fond memories.
Jim is survived by his children; Mary Kay (Mike) Larsen, Greg Bradley, Mike (Terri) Bradley, grandchildren; Jason, Bradley, Brian Bradley, Jackie Buchovecky, Kati Gonzales, Eric Larsen, Chad Larsen, Kyler Bradley, Dylan Bradley, and great grandchildren; Morgan Bradley, Audrey Bradley, Nathan Bradley, Griffin Gonzales, Gabby Gonzales, Ashlyn Larsen, Jaden Larsen, Brooklyn Larsen, Cameron Larsen and Dylan Larsen. He is also survived by his brother Joseph “Chuck” (Jan) Bradley.
Jim was predeceased by his sister Mary “Jean” Labb.
A Funeral Liturgy Service will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Blessed Sacrament with Fr. Jack Johnson officiating. Visitation will be at Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 4-7pm with a vigil service at 6:30 pm. Burial will take place at New Calvary Cemetery.
Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Toni & Trish House or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
