Robert C. Baldwin ( March 1, 1925 - April 6, 2017 )

Robert C. Baldwin, 92, of Midland, passed away on April 6, 2017 at Brittany Manor. He was born on March 1, 1925 in Midland, MI to the late Clarence and Ruby (Sutter) Baldwin. On February 6, 1971, he married Neoma Lutzke.
Robert faithfully served his country in the United States Army during WWII serving in Saipan, Guam, and Iwo Jima. Robert worked at Dow Chemical Company as a Master Stock Clerk retiring after 38 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion. Robert was an avid golfer and enjoyed camping, traveling, collecting model cars, participating in baseball and softball and watching his grandchildren play sports.
Robert is survived by his wife, Neoma, children, Don (Marie) Baldwin, Rick (Susan) Baldwin, Larry (Glenda Denhan) Baldwin, Marion (Wayne) Bowen, Gershom (Judy) Avery, Ruth Tallman (John Tallman) and Mike (Lee Ann) Avery.
He is also survived by his sister, Pat Campbell, 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Robert was predeceased by Dick Baldwin, Ron Baldwin, Shirley Linde, Mary Lee Mott and Carol Fockler.
A Funeral Service will take place at Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Wallace Mayton III officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, at the funeral home from 10:30 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Midland City Cemetery. Military honors will be under the auspices of the United States Army and Midland County Veterans.
