Jack Arthur Hale ( January 7, 1929 - May 272017 )

Jack Arthur Hale passed away May 27 at MidMichigan Medical Center. He was
born January 7, 1929 in Perry, Michigan to the late Cecil Lamont and Carrie Ina Hale. Jack
married Kathleen (Kay) Rose Stout August 28, 1948. She preceded him in death November 8, 2015.
Jack and Kay had six children: Daniel Allen Hale of Harrison, Susan Kay who died in infancy, Jane Louise DeBord of McKinney, Texas, Jack Arthur who died in 2004, Nancy Marie (Marshall) Albarelli of Summerfield, Florida, Judy Elaine, who died in 2012, and his granddaughter Tracie Lynn (Hale) Boshaw of Sanford, whom he viewed as a daughter.
Jack also had 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
He leaves many nieces and nephews, other extended family, and special friends.
Jack had eleven siblings. His sisters Carol and Ardith, and nine siblings who predeceased him: Ben, Max, Rex, Bob, Henry, Harry, Don, Thora, and Barbara.
Jack’s lasting legacy will be the lavish love he poured over his family and those who knew him best. He specialized in teaching his children and grandchildren to love and respect nature, and prided himself in knowing the names of every bird, rock, and tree. He loved hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and golf. His love of the outdoors has been passed down through the family.
Funeral services will be held at the Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly Road, Midland, on Thursday, June 1, 2017, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. until noon and funeral services at noon. Pastor Gene LeForge of Midland Free Methodist Church will officiate. A private graveside service will be held for immediate family members after the service.
