Lucille E. (Laney) Tucker ( April 7, 1935 - July 3, 2017 )

Lucille E. (Laney) Tucker, 82, died at MidMichigan Medical Center on July 3, 2017. She was born on April 7, 1935 in Midland to the late Ray and Eleanor (Neuenfeldt) Laney. Lucille attended Bay City Public Schools. On August 18, 1951 she married her sweetheart, Edwin Tucker, Sr. They were happily married for 60 years until his death in January of 2012.

Lucille was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church. She had previously wintered in Texas and South Carolina. She enjoyed making quilts, hummingbirds, cooking and doing crafts. Lucille loved her family especially spoiling her children and grandchildren. She was always willing to help someone in need. Lucille also volunteered for the Voting Committee at Larkin Township.

Lucille is survived by her daughter, Maggie (Rick) Lind of Aiken, SC, her son, Edwin (Carla) Tucker, Jr. of Hope, MI, her grandchildren: Shayne (Meg) Case, John Case, Andrea (Dale) Boyes, Nicholas (Jessica) Tucker, Chad (Stephanie) Tucker, and Kenneth (Rebecca) Tucker, and great grandchildren; Jonathon, Ricardo, Aidan, Marshall, Jayden, Elliannah, Quinn, Arabella, Nora, Deacon and Spencer. She is also survived by her brothers: Raymond Laney and Archie (Darlene) Laney, and her sisters: Ruth Dunfee and Janet (Robert) Arnold.

Lucille was preceded in death by her sisters: Shirley Tucker, Dorothy Hartley and brother LaVern Laney.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Smith-Miner Funeral Home with Pastor Jody Ellis officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday, July 7th from 4-7 pm and on Saturday at
11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Midland Memorial Gardens.
