Carol Sabourin ( February 3, 1935 - July 25, 2017 )

Carol Sabourin, 82, of Midland, passed away on July 25, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 3, 1935 in Bay City to the late Leo and Elsie (Uhlmann) Bigford. Carol married Lawrence E. Sabourin in Bay City on February 16, 1957.
Carol was an administrative assistant for the Bay City Public Schools retiring in June of 1995. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and enjoyed basket making, camping and traveling.
Carol is survived by her husband, Lawrence, children: Mark (Susan) Sabourin, Brian (Pam) Sabourin, Barbie (Andrew) Stephenson, Lori (Michael) Smith, grandchildren: Jason (Dawn) Sabourin, Justin (Tanya) Sabourin, Marshall (Elizabeth) Sabourin, Heidi (David) Tilbury, Megan Sabourin, Koryn (Jason) VanIttersum, Joshua (Kelly) Foster, Michael Foster, Tyler Foster, Kostandi Stephenson, Nicholas Smith, Janae Smith, Kayla Smith, great grandchildren: Maya Tilbury, Lila Sabourin and Noah Sabourin. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Edward (Jan) Sabourin and sister-in-law, Joan Sabourin.
Carol was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Schultz, great granddaughter, Sophie Tilbury, son-in-law, Daniel Foster, and brother-in-law, David Sabourin.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Messiah Lutheran Church with Pastor Ed Doerner officiating. Friends may visit with the family at Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Friday, July 28th from 4-7pm and at the church on Saturday from 10 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Larkin Township Cemetery.
Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Messiah Lutheran Church.
