Ralph O. Clark SR. ( February 26, 1926 - September 1, 2017 )

Ralph O. Clark, Sr.

Ralph O. Clark, Sr., 91, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 1, 2017 at the Woodland Hospice MidMichigan Home Care in Mt. Pleasant, MI. He was born February 26, 1926 in Midland, to the late Herbert H. and Edith (Owen) Clark. On February 25, 1943, he married Nellie Saylor and spent 68 loving years together.
She predeceased him on September 17, 2012.
He faithfully served his country in the United States Army during World War II as a ball turret gunner in a B-24 Liberator. He worked for Dow Chemical for 38 years as a head operator, retiring from the mail room at the end of his service. He was a lifelong member of Midland Nazarene Church. Ralph built many houses in the Midland area, six of those homes were for his own family. Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping with his family and he did taxidermy for many years of his life. He will be greatly missed by his family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Ralph is survived by his sons Ralph (Nancy) Clark, Jr.; Dalton (Linda) Clark; daughters Sandra (Bob) Walmsley; Collieen (Chuck) Barko; Marsha (Charley) Florey; Tammy Witte and Rick (Jayne) Clark; he is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sister in law, Shirley Clark.
He is preceded in death by brothers Major Alvin Clark, Duane (Beth) Clark; sister Dorothy (Cecil) Seaman.
A funeral service will take place at Midland Nazarene Church on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Chuck Jacobson officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Military honors will take place under the auspices of the United States Army and Midland County Veterans. Burial will take place at Geneva Township Cemetery North Bradley, MI.
