Bradley James Peterson ( Novmeber 20, 1990 - November 21, 2017 )

Bradley James Peterson, 27, passed away peacefully in the presence of Angels with his mother by his side on November 21, 2017 at the Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center after a lifelong struggle with heart disease.
Bradley was born November 20, 1990 in Novi Michigan. He moved to Midland in 2001 and began a new adventure in his life. Bradley was a spirited young man with an infectious smile and a hearty laugh. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a very determined fellow each and every day of his life.
Bradley attended school with the Midland County Education Services Agency and just recently obtained his Certificate of Completion with the help of his cherished home bound teacher Jeannine Dirette. He always looked forward to their sessions with great joy. They meant the world to him.
Throughout his life Bradley enjoyed traveling with his mom when he was able to and enjoyed visiting many of the States. He even touched the Pacific Ocean.
One of his favorite things to do was enjoy a good meal. When he was able, he loved to eat in restaurants and always looked forward to a big home cooked Sunday dinner with his mom. Bradley rarely missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune and "skunked" anyone who dared to challenge him. He thought Vanna White was "smokin hot." He was an avid U of M football fan and could be found dressed in his maize and blue for game day Saturdays. Bradley was active in Special Olympics when he able to and enjoyed the camaraderie of his teammates at sporting events. One of his greatest pleasures in life was to go to Dave's Barber Shop and get his hair cut. It was always a good day when his favorite barber, Gordie Willford was there and they had their time together. Thank-you for all the haircuts, Gordie.
Bradley was especially proud to own his own home and live in the community with the assistance of Community Mental Health of Central Michigan. His friend Chris Peeler was a big help in this endeavor for several years and his family is grateful for that.
Bradley will be very deeply missed by his mother Melanie Peterson. He was her hero and best friend. He will also be deeply missed by his sister and her husband, Nina and Jarrett Hon of Bluffton, S. Carolina as well as his special nephews Chase and Reed Hon. He also leaves behind his brother and his family, John (Candice) Yardley, his nephew Luka and his special niece Haley who he liked to call "Sassy Pants." Bradley also leaves his brother Aaron (Sid) Yardley and their son Isaiah of Springfield Oregon along with aunt and uncle, Jennifer and Mark Braman of Niwot Colorado.
The family would like to thank his many caregivers over the years, but especially Eric Grider and Zachary Grider who helped make his final days as comfortable as possible. Special thanks go out to the nurses on the third floor at the hospital in particular Emily, Lou, and Savannah and especially Jenna for their kindnesses and compassion in his last days. It was a comfort to his family. The family would also like thank Dr. Timothy Kosinski, Bradley's family physician, for his help and guidance over the years. Bradley was able to enjoy his life to the fullest, Bradley considered him a friend.
A private memorial celebration will be held by the family. Bradley's cremains will rest eternally at Dahlia Hill in the Circle of Life. Arrangements are in the care of Smith-Miner funeral Home.
Those planning an expression sympathy are asked to consider Special Olympics of Midland County or the ARC of Midland.
