Cynthia Baiardi ( August 31, 1953 - Septembet 14, 2018 )

Cynthia “Cindy” Baiardi, 65, a Realtor and long-time resident of Midland died on September 14, 2018 at Stratford Pines Nursing & Rehab Center following a short illness.
She is survived by her husband, Ken; her son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Brooke Baiardi and their children, Christian and Evelyn, all of Midland; her sisters, Susan Ricks of Queen Creek, AZ, and Kathryn Gonzales of Grand Junction, CO; and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins, and friends who will miss her smiling face and unlimited love.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents, Sherwood and Patricia Grant Snyder, and her sister, Kimberly Torline.
Cindy was born August 31, 1953 in Grand Junction, CO, to Sherwood and Patricia (Grant) Snyder, the second-borne of four siblings. She attended Grand Junction High School, Western State College in Gunnison, CO, and Beauty and Barber Schools in Denver, CO.
On August 28, 1977 she married Kenneth Baiardi, who survives.
Cindy owned and operated Lions Head Barbers and along with Ken, the Timbers Restaurant and Disco in Grand Junction for many years. She & Ken then made corporate moves to Aspen, CO, when Peter was born, St Louis, Missouri, Columbus, Ohio and Chicago, IL, and then moved to Midland in 1999. In Midland she was a realtor with Ayre-Rhinehart Realtors and member of the Midland Board of Realtors until her passing.
She was well known for her love of all animals even befriending a possum and 4 chipmunks who lived in her backyard. She enjoyed searching for wounded plants at Lowes, bringing them home and nursing them back to health resulting in beautiful floral displays.
She was outgoing and made friends with people from all walks of life, and always had a smile and kind words for everyone. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Visitation will take place October 2nd, 4pm-7pm and a memorial service on October 3rd, 11am-12pm both at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 Wackerly in Midland, MI. Reverend Joshua Parsons of St John’s Lutheran Church will officiate. An additional memorial service will be held in Grand Junction, CO on a later date.
