John G. House ( August 3, 1947 - October 2, 2018 )

John G. House of Midland went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 2, surrounded by family, after a long battle with lymphoma. John was the son of Arnold L. and Marian House of Clare. He was born on August 3, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant and grew up on a dairy farm.

His work career included Goodyear Tire and Dow Corning Corp. as a chemical engineer. He enjoyed serving in several churches he attended and after retirement he volunteered as a project manager for church and camp building projects.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet, his children Jody (Darren) and Emelia Huff, of Sanford, Joel (Niky) House of Midland, Jeff (Abbey) and Donovan, Claire, Savannah, Paige and Declan House, of Lindenhurst, IL, and Jeremy (Annie) and Norah House of Grand Rapids. He is also survived by his siblings Rosemary (Dick) Abel of Columbus, OH; Carole (Robert) Beery of Chesaning; Eric (Cheryl) House of Gladwin; Gene (Laura) House of Clare; Teresa (Joel) Hunsberger of Grand Rapids; Corinne (John) Howdyshell of Clare and 28 nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on October 6, 2018, at Immanuel Bible Church, 5433 N. Center Road, Saginaw, with Pastor Matthew Beery officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Friday, October 5, 2018, from 4-7 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place following at Pine Grove Cemetery, Freeland.

Memorial contributions can be designated to Bibles International and/or Pine Ridge Bible Camp in Cedar Springs.
