Doris B. Dougherty ( September 30, 1920 - February 27, 2013 )

Doris B. Dougherty, 92, of Midland, died at her home on Wednesday, February 27, 2013.
Doris was born on Sept. 30, 1920 in Lafayette Township, Gratiot County, Michigan to the late Cecil and Ida (Benjamin) Cates. On Oct. 18, 1937 Doris married her sweetheart Kermit I. Dougherty. He predeceased her on Feb. 17, 1989.
Doris loved gardening, flowers and long rides in the rain.
Doris is survived by her children Robin (Marilyn) Dougherty, Rollin (Diana) Dougherty, Patricia Lauer; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and many, many friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 4, 2013 at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Homer Township Cemetery.
